IDAHO LOWER LEWISTON PORT OF ENTRY CLOSED FOR CONSTRUCTION

The Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) has announced the closure of the Lower Lewiston Port of Entry (POE) for a major construction project.

📍 The facility, located one mile east of Lewiston at the junction of US-12 and US-95, will remain closed until early 2027. An exact reopening date has not yet been announced.

🚧 Planned improvements include:

✔️ Better access to commercial vehicle services

✔️ Improved registration and permit processing

✔️ Public restroom facilities

✅ The Lewiston Hill Port of Entry, located seven miles north of Lewiston on US-95, remains open and fully operational.

📌 Commercial carriers and drivers are encouraged to schedule registration and permit appointments online to avoid delays.
