Driver Qualification Files

In-depth DQ auditing, license & date monitoring, electronic applications, annual reviews, MVR/PSP, Clearinghouse reports.

Driver qualification files are the first thing an FMCSA auditor pulls - and incomplete DQ files are one of the top three findings in DOT audits. We build, audit and continuously monitor a complete file for every driver: employment application, MVR, road test, medical certificate, annual review, and Clearinghouse queries. Dates that matter - CDL, med card, annual MVR - are tracked automatically, so nothing lapses without you hearing from us first.

Driver Qualification Files - FAQ

What documents belong in a DQ file?

Per 49 CFR §391: the employment application, MVR from each state held, road test certificate or equivalent, medical examiner's certificate, annual review of driving record, annual MVR, and Clearinghouse query results. We audit each file against this checklist and fix gaps.

How do you keep driver files current?

We monitor every expiring date - CDL, medical card, annual MVR and review - and act before they lapse. You get a heads-up well ahead of any deadline instead of a violation after the fact.

Can you onboard new drivers for me?

Yes. We run the electronic application, pull MVR and PSP, run the pre-employment Clearinghouse query, and assemble a complete, audit-ready file before the driver's first dispatch.
